RRRRRipped from the headlines

I kind of hate those shows that use whatever is in today's headlines to write the plot for their show. I'm not entirely sure why. It makes me blush when the deep-voiced announcer guy is like "On this weeks NCUILIPD Blue, RRRipped from the headlines!" during the shows promo and there are still shots of like 3 or so cast members looking really surprised and concerned. Why are they so surprised? Didn't they read the headlines? Fuck!
